Cosmetic Bonding
Modern tooth coloured restorative materials can be bonded to teeth, often without the need for an anaesthetic, in order to improve the shape or colour of teeth. However although this is the quickest and least expensive method, the results are not as good as or as long lasting as veneers or crowns. Prices range from £73 to £109 per tooth.
Veneers
A very thin shell of porcelain is permanently bonded to the surface of the tooth for cosmetic purposes. It may be used to improve stained or discoloured teeth, chipped or broken teeth, crooked or miss-aligned teeth or gaps between widely spaced teeth. A new veneer looks and feels like a natural tooth, and treatment only involves two visits. A veneer costs £338 per tooth.
Crowns
A crown is an artificial cap which fits over the prepared tooth in order to restore its natural appearance and function. It may be used to repair teeth or improve their appearance:
Decayed teeth where ordinary filling materials will be insufficient for repair. Aesthetics correcting crooked or misshapen teeth as well as replacing large and unsightly fillings. It may also be used to reconstruct damaged teeth. Crowns cost from £355 depending on the materials that are used.
Straightening crooked teeth
Orthodontics - We can advise and refer for this specialised care which is available for adults and children. Orthopaedic orthodontics without the need for extraction of teeth is also available.
Replacing missing teeth
The following are all ways of replacing missing teeth, each with their different benefits. It would be necessary to discuss with one of our dentists the most appropriate treatment to suit individual's own requirements.
Dentures - These may be metal or plastic and will be costed upon consultancy. The price range is from £325 to £940.
Bridges - Conventional bridges involve crowns being placed on teeth either side of a gap in order to support an artificial replacement tooth. Bridges cost from £355.
Adhesive bridges - These have wings that stick to the adjacent teeth to hold the artificial tooth in place. These are less expensive and do not alter your existing teeth. Prices range from £385.
Implants - These involve titanium screws being inserted into the jaw where they are integrated with the bone and are able to support an artificial replacement. This is the most advanced and expensive method of replacing missing teeth and would not always be appropriate. Our dentists would be able to advise you on this.
Zoom! Tooth Whitening System
About Zoom!
The Zoom! In-Surgery Whitening System is a revolutionary tooth whitening procedure. It’s safe, effective and very very fast. In just over an hour your teeth will be dramatically whiter. Zoom! Whitening is ideal for anyone looking for immediate results, which makes it the perfect choice for the busy individual.
The Zoom! Whitening procedure is simple and painless. It begins with a short preparation to isolate the lips and gums, and then the dentist applies a gel solution to the teeth which is activated by a specially designed light. Teeth typically become six to ten shades whiter, sometimes more and in most cases the teeth get even whiter the first few days after the procedure. You’ll be amazed with the results.
The Zoom! Light activated gel was developed after years of research and is a scientifically formulated, pH balanced Hydrogen Peroxide that, when activated by the Zoom! Light, gently penetrates the teeth to remove deep stains and discolouration
